Our Favorite Cape Cod Gems with Ms. Leong

March 23, 2021

Cape Cod is full of beautiful places, and everybody has a favorite spot. Today, Ms. Leong shares a couple of her favorite walks in Provincetown.

First, I love to walk in the dunes off Snail Road and Route 6. It is such a magical and majestic landscape scattered with odd trees, cranberry bogs and whimsical dune shacks and the mighty ocean on the other side. That’s my friend’s dog, Sushi, in the photos and my mom in the puffy green jacket.

The other place I love to visit is the breakwater in the west end of Ptown. It’s so fascinating … all these massive rocks that have been arranged just so to create this watery barrier but also a perfect pathway to the two lighthouses on the very tip of the Cape. I always discover something new on my walks there, like this boat that escaped its mooring during a winter storm several years ago but was still unclaimed by its owner many months later or this beautiful sunset on my birthday and the last day of school before the holiday break this past December.
